WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data is all information that can be used to identify an individual.

WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your trust is important to us. Our goal is to make you feel safe when you provide personal information to us.

We take steps to ensure that your personal information is always protected by us and that processing is in accordance with applicable data protection rules and our internal guidelines and practices.

It is important for us to be open with how your personal information that you provide to us, or as we collect in another way, is handled. This information text describes how and why Sharp Dalarna processes personal data in the context of our business. “Sharp Dalarna” refers to Kontor & Miljö i Borlänge AB and Mora Kontorsteam AB. The companies are jointly responsible for the processing of your personal data.

Information about Sharp Dalarna’s processing of your personal information when completing purchases in stores or in the webshop is provided separately.

WHERE DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA?

  • Yourself 
    We collect the personal information you provide to us, such as When you apply for credit, contact us, make a purchase at the store or in our webshop or use our digital channels. Examples of information we collect from you are identity information, such as name and social security number, contact details, purchase history and visitor statistics.
     
  • Information services 
    We retrieve some information from external information services, such as in connection with credit information or when preparing for example a lease. Examples of information retrieved from external information services are names and contact details.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS AND WHY?

Based on your consent, we may process your personal information to handle you as a customer, as well as to communicate and submit offers to you as below. It is voluntary to give your consent to processing your personal information, but if you do not consent, we cannot accept an application to become a credit customer or to enter into a rental agreement.

  • To handle you as a customer 
    To handle you as a customer (e.g. manage your application to become a credit customer, to be able to bill and monitor payments, to answer requests from you), we process identity information, such as name, customer number and social security number (if applicable), contact details and information about completed purchases.
  • Communication and submission of offers 
    In order to communicate relevant information with you and to provide general and personal offers about Sharp Dalarna’s goods and services, we process identity information, such as: name, customer number, social security number (if applicable), contact details, e.g. address, telephone number and e-mail address, details of your purchase, details of your digital behaviour in your use of Sharp Dalarna’s digital services, such as visitor and search history on the website and in the webshop, as well as information retrieved from external information services (see below). Offers are communicated to you on different channels, such as by letter, email, SMS, on the Site and other digital contact routes, such as in Sharp Dalarna’s social media profiles.
  • Follow-up and evaluation 
    We deal with sales history in order to produce reports and statistics for the follow-up and evaluation of our business. The treatment is done with the support of a so-called balance of interests to meet our legitimate interest in carrying out follow-up and evaluations and therefore does not require your consent.

  • Service providers 
    In order to fulfil the purposes of our processing of your personal information, we share your personal information with companies providing services to Sharp Dalarna. These companies may process your personal information only in accordance with our explicit instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes. They are also required by law and agreement to protect your information.
  • Other recipients 
    We may, if necessary, transfer your personal information to other recipients, such as authorities and selected companies, than those mentioned above if necessary for certain purposes.

HOW LONG DO WE SAVE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Your personal information is saved by us for the time you are a customer of us and 24 months thereafter to fulfil the purposes of our treatment. In some cases, however, data may remain longer, such as financial accounting data. After that, we will safely delete or unidentify your information so that they can no longer be linked to you. Further information on how long your personal information is kept can be obtained on request.

YOUR RIGHTS

Data protection legislation gives you a number of rights in relation to the processing of your personal data. We process your personal information to the extent necessary to fulfil your rights.

  • Access to your data 
    You are entitled to request confirmation from us if we process personal information relating to you, and in such cases request access to the personal data we are processing about you, a so-called transcript.
  • Request correction
    In addition, if you believe a statement about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that the statement is corrected.
  • Revoke consent with future effect
    To the extent that we process your personal information based on your consent, you are entitled to revoke your consent to your future treatment at any time. This means that if you revoke your consent, we have the right to continue process your previously collected personal information with your prior consent.
  • Oppose your treatment for direct marketing purposes
    You also have the right, at any time, to oppose our processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes and to unsubscribe from further posting by notifying us, for example, by clicking an unregister link in the mail.

As of May 25, 2018, you also have the rights below if it is in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

  • Oppose treatment that relies on a balance of interest
    You are entitled to oppose treatments that relate to an interest balance if you have personal reasons concerning the situation. However, we may continue to process your data, even if you oppose your treatment, if we have compelling legitimate reasons for the treatment which contemplates the privacy interests.
  • Deletion 
    Under certain circumstances, you have the right to have your personal data deleted, such as if the treatment is based on your consent and you revoke this consent. However, this does not apply if we are required by law, for example, to preserve the data.
  • Limitation of treatment 
    You also have the right to request the processing of your personal data is limited. However, if you request that the processing of your information is limited, it may result in our failure to fulfil our obligations to you during the time the treatment is limited.
  • Data portability 
    Finally, you have the right to get a copy of the personal data relating to you in a structured format (data portability). The right to data portability, unlike the right to registry extract, thus only covers data provided by you and which we treat with the aid of certain legal bases, such as: an agreement with you.
